Recon is currently in its early stages; constructing costumes, building props, finalising set-pieces, tweaking scripts, sketching storyboards and composing music.
However, things are moving very quick. The team now has producers, three composers and a rock band, and now almost sixty talented voice actors and actresses playing roles from across the Halo franchise.
The film itself will be created with four versions, one for each of the four Halo difficulties, with unique dialogue and structure. The fourth of which will only be unlocked by YOU! The fans! As you embark on an ARG I have already set in motion.
Recon is a story that is truly special, and I cannot wait to share it with Halo fans and new audiences alike. It is made with the deepest respect for the rich lore, aesthetic style and iconic gameplay of classic Halo. It works to bridge Halo 3 and Halo 4, acting as a continuation of established narratives like Halo Evolutions: Dirt, Halo: The Interactive Strategy Game, Halo: "I Love Bees" Anthology, Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Spartan Strike, Halo: Joint Monitor, Halo: Kinetic Storm, Halo: New Blood, and leads into the likes of Halo: Nightfall, Halo 4 and beyond.
The story focusses on Alpha-Nine's latest addition; The Rookie, as he is brought into the shadows of the illusive Office of Naval Intelligence for a covert operation following the trail left behind by the Covenant's Engineers; the Huragok. One in particular, Vergil, requests the trooper by name and refuses to share its knowledge without his involvement. ONI obliges, pulling Rook from his squad, and setting him on course for a colony world currently disputed by virtually every covenant remnant faction, a squad of overrun marines, and the staff of an ONI facility nestled in the mountains of the forest.
Will The Rookie survive the night? What is the rest of Foxtrot team up to at the facility? Who has been picking the marines off one by one? and will Rook be able to uncover the secrets of the glyphs littering the forest floor?
